Plaque inscribed; 'THIS HALL together with LABORATORIES and WORKSHOPS was erected in the year 1908, from Funds contributed by EDRIC BAYLEY, M.A., and THE LONDON COUNTY COUNCIL. THE EDRIC HALL IS SO NAMED IN HONOUR OF Mr. EDRIC BAYLEY (Chairman of the Governing Body, 1892-1905), in grateful recognition of his munificent gifts and devoted services to this Institute.'
